Claire Carney BHSAI and Merishia Equine Therapist.
Claire has over 15 years experience in training and schooling young and competition horses. Claire is available to teach riders of all ages and abilities in all disciplines.
Claire says, “Being an instructor I have come across many different problems and difficulties in training both horse and rider. Many rider’s believe their horse is unwilling to perform because they are “too strong, stubborn, pigheaded, frightened and too flighty” but most of the problems stem deeper and many are caused by muscle problems/spasms.
This is why I decided to introduce equine massage and it’s benefits into our daily routine, along with exercises for both horse and rider, to help and improve performance”.
WORKSHOPS  are held monthly at a variety of yards and are for maximum of 6 people.

Angela Kemp Merishia Equine Therapist
Angela says” I am the unwitting owner of a pony with chronic back and neck problems. After using all the insurance monies on osteopathy work and finding myself in a similar position 18 months later, I decided to take things into MY OWN HANDS! A chiropractor and an equine masseur once a week for 6 months (very expensive!) but my pony was starting to be able to hold herself.”
“It was at this time that I sawNikki’s advertisement for the Merishia massage. Like a shot, I enrolled. I could not only save money but also get closer to my beautiful little equine chum and massage her back to health.
Now the chiropractor comes when I ask, approximately once every 5 months and I massage my pony 3 times a week, continually assess her gaits and way of going and do stretching exercises every time I ride or lunge. Due to the success and obvious improved way of going of my pony, I am often in demand to try out my skills on other equines.”
“My teaching skills as the owner/manager of a Nursery school for the last 11 years are now put to the test - teaching adults Equine sports massage - a very worthwhile course, especially when you see the results and improvement in topline and muscle development. My pony has been placed
every  time in Dressage since her recovery!”     For further information call 01608 737650 / 07787 816990
